National Eating Disorders Awareness Week - Feb 5-11, 2012
Prevention can be as simple as:
Stop the fat talk. It encourages people to hate their bodies and develop eating disorders.
Use language that focuses on healthy behaviours and well- being, not size and shape.
Consider the social and cultural messages people get from the things we say, especially as educators and researchers.
