DPAC April 16 2018-19 Preliminary Budget – SPP – Playground Equipment
As agreed at the January DPAC General meeting, a letter was sent to the Ministers of Finance and Education regarding the recommendations from the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services, with particular focus on the recommendations regarding funding for K-12 education in BC.
On March 16, the Burnaby DPAC received a written response from the Hon. Rob Fleming, Minister of Education. A copy of the letter is available here: Minister of Education Response to Letter 2018

At our next DPAC general meeting on Monday, October 16, the agenda will include a presentation on PAC Finances.
We encourage DPAC representatives to invite their fellow PAC executive members to attend with them to hear the presentation.

The provincial government announced in the 2009 Speech from the Throne, that all-day Kindergarten will be made available to all BC 5-year olds. Access to all-day K will be phased in over two years. For September 2010, 50% of Kindergarten classes in the province will be delivered in an all-day format rather the current half-day model.
